Rep. Hoa Nguyen
Rep. Nguyen is a huge champion for children and bettering the education system. "We stand for working families and prioritize the well-being of children, educators, and immigrant/refugee populations and support initiatives that contribute to thriving and vibrant neighborhoods." - House 48 office
Rep. Zach Hudson
Rep. Hudson has been teaching in public schools around East Multnomah County since 2005, including Corbett High School, Reynolds High School, Gresham High School and Mt. Hood Community College. Right now, teaches special education at local schools while the legislature is not in session. His focus is on education and workforce development.
Rep. Ricki Ruiz
Rep. Ruiz is born and raised in Portland, Oregon and is a representative of the Democratic Party, Independent Party, Working Families Party. Has advanced policies in education, housing, immigration, climate, racial justice, healthcare, and the economy.
Ballot Measure 111
Passed in 2022 | 111 has added a section to the Oregon Constitution establishing a right to "cost-effective, clinically appropriate and affordable health care" for every Oregon resident.

Oregon law currently does not place dollar limits on contributions to candidates or political committees. The current lack of contribution limits has led to contested elections in Oregon being extremely expensive.
Board of Education At-Large Seat at Mt. Hood CC
ShaToyia Bentley was at first appointed then elected at Mt. Hood Community College in 2023. She ran in hopes to make education benefit all people in the way it benefited her in starting career.

William Miller is Mt. Hood Community College first Native person on the school board. He Went from being student body president to now a board of education member. He is a rising star.

Rachelle Chase-Miller is a 2025 elected school board member for Portland Public Schools.
